VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 OCTOBER 7, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 7th day of October, 2025. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Baxa, and Santacroce. Schafer and Wolfe were absent. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:24pm. Public comments: Craig Vyhnalek from Vyhnalek Insurance presented the Village/Rural Fire Insurance Policies and discussed current and proposed coverages. Water Operator Report: Job advertisements will be placed in several local newspapers. Previous minutes were reviewed. Santacroce motioned to approve; Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Baxa motioned to approve all claims; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, and Baxa. No nay votes. Disconnect Notices: Two notices were sent out; now paid. Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Dick motioned to approve Resolution 2025-1 concerning a Village Nuisance Property and said Resolution will be served to owner by attorney; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, and Santacroce; no nay votes. New street signs have arrived and are being placed in the Village. Repairs are to be made to the Park equipment and restrooms. Wolfe to proceed with window/doors being replaced in restrooms and old playground equipment to be removed due to safety hazards. Baxa motioned to approve Clerk’s request to attend the 2026 Clerks Institute and Academy for continuing education hours; Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Baxa motioned to adjourn, Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, and Baxa; no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 8:43pm.
