VILLAGE OF SWANTON PO BOX 23 SWANTON, NEBRASKA 68445 MARCH 10, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 10th day of March, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Chairman Runty, Trustees: Strouf, Likens, and Placek. Bass absent. Donna Rut, Village Clerk also attending the meeting. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Saline County Sheriff Smejdir presented the monthly sheriff’s report. The claims, treasurer’s report, and minutes were presented. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Likens to approve the treasurer’s report and minutes and pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with Runty, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Strouf abstained and Bass absent. A motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Placek to purchase 12 flags and accessories from Display Sales. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass absent. After reviewing the quote on street repairs, a motion was made by Placek and seconded by Likens to armor coat Second Street from Main to Nemaha, and Third Street from Main to Nemaha and all of Clay Street from First to Fourth Street. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass absent. Trustee Strouf reported on the delivery of the tables and chairs for the auditorium, repairs needed to the furnace, and clean up days.
