VILLAGE OF SWANTON PO BOX 23 SWANTON, NEBRASKA 68445 JULY 14, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 14th day of July, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. Present were: Vice Chairman Strouf, Trustees: Likens, Placek and Bass. Runty, absent. Donna Rut, Village Clerk and Alan Krupicka, Water Operator also attending the meeting. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Shane Jiskra discussed his water and the need of a building permit. The claims, treasurer’s report, and minutes were presented. A motion was made by Likens and seconded by Placek to approve the treasurer’s report and minutes and pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with Likens, Placek, and Bass voting aye. Strouf abstained and Runty, absent. Discussion on the well project was held. A motion was made by Placek to award the 2024 Well Improvement Project to Judds Brothers Construction Co. for $599,451.00 subject to USDA-RD approval. Seconded by Bass. Motion carried with Strouf, Likens, Placek, and Bass voting aye. Runty absent. A motion was made by Likens to approve change order #1 for the 2024 Well Improvement Project subject to USDA-RD approval. Seconded by Placek. Motion carried with Strouf, Likens, Placek, and Bass voting aye. Runty, absent. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Bass to book 1,500 gallons of propane at $1.70 per gallon with the Farmers Cooperative. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Runty, absent. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator gave his monthly water report. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Bass and seconded by Likens to adjourn.
