WILBER CARE CENTER BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING OCTOBER 16, 2023 PRESENT Chris Linhart Scott Albert Greg Hasenohr Joyce Wusk Stephanie Hroch OTHER PRESENT Nicole Lane—Administrator Missie Bramhall—Office Manager Allison Suden— HR Coordinator Matt Ross--RHD The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm by President, Chris Linhart, at the Wilber Care Center. It was noted that the Open Meeting Act is posted. The minutes from the September 18, 2023, board meeting was reviewed. A motion to approve the September minutes was made by Stephanie Hroch and seconded by Joyce Wusk. Motion carried. The General financials were discussed and approved by Joyce Wusk and seconded by Scott Albert. Nicole Lane discussed the September general financials. Nicole spoke on potential increases for nursing staff. General financials were discussed and approved by Joyce Wusk and seconded by Scott Albert. Nicole Lane reported on the September staffing and overtime report; reviewed. Nicole Lane stated nursing has an open DON position but has received a few applications for position, Wilber currently has an interim DON; housekeeping has a fulltime position open. Activities assistant has a position open. Agency use remains high. The monthly check register was presented, and discussion was held addressing questions. Expenses were discussed, voted on and approved by Greg Hasenohr and seconded by Stephanie Hroch. Old Business: Current open positions were discussed. Project for PTO conversions and employee handbook update is on-going. Information obtained from fractional HR company, VCFO will be presented to board upon completion. CD maturity schedule was reviewed. CD’s are being revisited at banks to inquire about higher rates. ERC: The application was submitted to IRS but in a held status due to complications with IRS. Pending funds. New Business Motion to move the board meeting to the 3rd Monday of the month was approved. 5 Star rating: Remains a 5. RHD Update Matt spoke about the new gov’t mandate proposed by CMS. RHD is working with LeadingAge and other organizations to become more informed on how this would impact Wilber Care Center. The next board meeting will be held on Monday, November 20th at 5:30 pm. A motion to adjourn was made by Scott Albert and seconded by Joyce Wusk. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm.
