This is a synopsis of a special meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of Wilber. A complete copy of the proceedings, resolutions, contracts and ordinances are on file at the City Office, 110 W Third Street, Wilber, NE and are available for public inspection during regular business hours. PROCEEDINGS OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WILBER, NEBRASKA Tuesday, March 19, 2024 7:30 p.m. Mayor Chrans called the special meeting to order at the Cultural Center at 110 W Third Street in Wilber, Nebraska on March 19, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. Notice of this meeting was posted within three places within the City on March 15, 2024. The following were present. Mayor Roger Chrans, Councilmembers Kent Linhart, Allen Brozovsky, Tim Lempka and Randy Sasek and City Attorney Tad Eickman. The Mayor stated that the open meetings act is posted in the meeting room and is available for public inspection. Roll call shows four Councilmembers are present. The Mayor called for recognition of visitors if anyone in attendance wishes to address the Council. No one addressed the Council. The purpose of the meeting is to review applicants, possible job offer and salary negotiations for Office personnel position. Sasek moved and Brozovsky seconded the motion to go into closed session at 7:35 p.m. for personnel discussions. Motion carried 4-0. The Mayor restated the purpose of the closed session is for personnel discussions. Those in attendance were Mayor Chrans, Councilmembers Sasek, Lempka, Brozovsky and Linhart and City Attorney Tad Eickman. At 8:39 p.m. the meeting room doors were opened, and Sasek moved and Linhart seconded to come out of closed session. Motion carried 4-0. No action taken on closed session item.
