VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 February 6, 2024 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 6th day of February, 2024. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Krupicka, Kastanek, and Wolfe. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Chairman Dick called the meeting to order at 7:31pm. Diane Krupicka was present to make Village aware of grant funds from Saline County Tourism. She proposed using those funds for possible new tables and chairs for the gym. Dillon Wolfe will also check into cost to replace doors at the gym with some of the grant money. Previous minutes were reviewed. Dick motioned to approve; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Krupicka, Kastanek, Dick, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve, Krupicka seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Krupicka, Kastanek, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Dick motioned to approve claims 1-23, Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Wolfe, Kastanek, and Dick, no nay votes. Krupicka abstained. Alan Krupicka requested Building Permit approval to build a building on his property. Kastanek motioned to approve; Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Kastanek, Krupicka, Dick, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Dan Baxa was hired as Part-time Village employment. Krupicka motioned to approve, Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Kastanek, Krupicka, Wolfe, and Dick, no nay votes. Village approved paying $300 to Allen Lintz for snow removal at the Village Wellhouse. Krupicka motioned to approve, Kastanek seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Krupicka, and Kastanek, no nay votes. Village approved attendance at the upcoming Clerk Academy for Village Clerk March 17-22, 2024 in Columbus, Nebraska. Disconnect Notice was presented to Board. Action on Nuisance Properties will begin as proposed. Chairman Dick will check with Attorney on proposed letters to property owners. Krupicka motioned to adjourn, Kastanek seconded, motion carried; aye votes Kastanek, Krupicka, Dick, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 8:34pm.
