VILLAGE OF TOBIAS PO BOX 94 TOBIAS, NE 68453 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 7th day of February, 2023. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees: Krupicka and Kastanek and Smith. Dillon Wolfe and the Village Clerk also attending meeting. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter show were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Claims, January minutes and banking statement were presented and reviewed. Smith motioned to pay claims 1 thru 16, claim 7 from Farmer’s COOP was not itemized, Kastanek volunteered to call and verify the statement and request itemized statements in the future. Kastanek seconded the motion, motion carried with Dick, Kastanek and Smith voting aye, Krupicka abstained. Kastanek motioned to place Dillon Wolfe as the new Trustee for Tobias, Smith seconded the motion, motion carried with Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka and Smith, voting aye, no nay votes. Wolfe read the Oath of Office. A discussion was held regarding the upcoming Water Operator vacancy and clerk vacancy. A discussion was held regarding adding the banking statement to the items presented at each meeting. Resolution 2-2023 was presented by Chairman Dick regarding nuisance properties. Smith motioned to accept and adopt the resolution, motion was seconded by Krupicka. Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith voted aye, Wolfe abstained. Water shut off notices were presented. Discussion was held regarding Rezabek meter. Krupicka is resolving the issue by checking on the possibly faulty meter. Census Bureau building permit survey was discussed, no permits were issued in 2022. Kastanek contacted Farmer’s COOP February 8, 2023 and verified the amount due. Kastanek requested that all statements include an itemized break down of any and all charges. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Kastanek and seconded by Dick to adjourn.
