VILLAGE OF SWANTON P.O. BOX 23 SWANTON, NEBRASKA. 68445 JULY 10, 2023 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 10th day of July, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Runty called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Runty, Strouf, Likens, and Placek. Bass absent. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator and Donna Rut, Village Clerk also attending. Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. The Saline County Deputy gave the monthly sheriff’s report. The claims, treasurer’s report, and minutes were presented. A motion was made by Likens and seconded by Placek to approve the treasurer’s report and minutes and to pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass, absent. A motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Likens to sign the three year generator maintenance agreement with Cummins. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass absent. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Strouf to approve resolution #2023-3, a resolution setting the garbage rates to $19.00 per month. Motion carried with Strouf, Likens, Placek, and Runty voting aye. Bass absent. A motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Likens to accept Jim Toof as a volunteer fireman. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass, absent. Discussion was held on the One & Six Year Road Plan, the budget, and the new well project. The ARPA money will be used to pay for the test well. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Placek and seconded by Strouf to adjourn.
