A complete set of the proceedings along with an approved list of claims is on file in the Board of Commissioners’ Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and on our website: www.co.saline.ne.us SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, by Chairperson Phil Hardenburger. Present were Hardenburger, Stephanie A. Krivohlavek, Marvin A. Kohout and Janet J. Henning, Commissioners, County Attorney David Solheim and County Clerk Diann Nettifee. Commissioner Russ Karpisek was absent. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s Office and published in all three county newspapers on January 31st, 2024, in compliance with State Statutes; Hardenburger advised those present of the open meetings act at the back of the room and that all proceedings are electronically recorded; Approved Agenda as presented; Approved the minutes of the January 23, 2024 regular meeting; Citizens Forum; Russ Fritz addressed the Commissioners with concerns of elections by mail; Report of Officials; Henning attended Public Health Solutions and CASA meetings; Krivohlavek will be attending Saline County Aging Services and Railroad Transportation Safety meetings; Kohout attended NACO Legislature revue, Wellness and NACO Insurance meetings; reminded Board February 23rd is the Saline County Recognition Banquet; Hardenburger attended an Extension Board meeting and has upcoming County Chair Workshop and Agricultural meetings, setting up meeting for the Railroad Transportation Safety District; Approved Resolution #2024-004; Transfer $279.00 from #0300 Roads Fund to the #0100 General Fund. ISolved correction for (01/12/2024); Approved Saline County Clerk Fees - January 2024 for $30,492.05; Approved District Court January Fees - $61,476.34; Approved Extension office donating three (3) unused filing cabinets to the Saline County Historical Society; Approved Resolution #2024-06 Accepting City of Crete's paving assessments; Rescinded Resolution #2024-06 Accepting City of Crete's paving assessments; Approved Resolution #2024-05 Transfer $1,000.00 from Inheritance Fund #2700 to the Juvenile Services Aid Program Fund #2516, to be reimbursed when funds are available; Approved supplemental agreement for project C007614310P; Highway Superintendent reported that gravel is unavailable - crushed rock will be used on County roads; Approved claims as presented; 10:21 a.m. Recessed; 10:29 a.m. Reconvened 10:30 a.m. Chad Engle with NIRMA presented a Safety Award of $500.00 to the Saline County Safety Committee; There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:34 a.m. The next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in the Saline County Commissioners’ Room, Court House, Wilber, NE.
