Joyce Frederick Anthony, 84, of North Platte, passed away May 10, 2023, at Great Plains Health.
He was born Dec. 14, 1938, to Joseph and Alma (Osterthun) Anthony in Wilber.
JF was born and raised in Wilber and graduated from Wilber High School with the class of 1957. After high school, he moved to North Platte and worked for the seining crew at Nebraska Game and Parks. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1961.
On Aug. 30, 1964, JF was married to Laura Havens and to this union, three boys were born, Mark, Steve and Dan. He continued to work for Nebraska Game and Parks for more than 40 years and retired in 2000. He worked for the fishery division. JF loved woodworking, fishing and going to garage sales. He liked to tease people and loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include children, Mark (Kristy) Anthony of North Platte, Steve Anthony of Firth, and Dan (Jennifer) Anthony of Maxwell; grandchildren, Bryar (Karen) Anthony, Tyler Anthony, Ryley (Andrea) Lavene, Quaid Anthony, Keaton Anthony, Jake Anthony and Paige Anthony; great-granddaughter, Charlie; brothers, Vern Anthony, Gary (Jan) Anthony and Gale (Adele) Anthony; sisters-in-law, Donna and Bobbie; numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Alma; wife, Laura; granddaughter, Emily Anthony; brothers, Von (Gwen), Richard, and Calvin; and sister, Mary Ann (Dave) Warner.
The funeral service was May 15. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte is in charge of arrangements.
