Janile R. Roesler

Janile Ruth Roesler, daughter of Henry and Ida (Marschman) Schwisow, was born near Tobias on April 28, 1930.

She was baptized May 18, 1930, at Zion Lutheran Church of Tobias by Rev. W. G. Nau. Janile confessed her baptismal faith in the rite of Confirmation on June 27, 1943, at Immanual Lutheran Church by the Rev. O. R. Heinitz. Her confirmation verse was Luke 10:42.

Janile was joined together in holy matrimony to Vernon Roeser on June 7, 1950, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Daykin by the Rev. A. L. Kohtz. They raised through this union eight children, Michael, Marcia, Max, Mark, Monty, Mary, Marlin and Matthew.

On April 7, 2024, at the age of 93 years, Janile fell asleep in Jesus' care at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber.

She is survived by her six sons, Michael and wife Jane of Malcolm, Max and wife Grace of Cedar, Michigan, Mark and wife Christine of DeWitt, Monty of DeWitt, Marlin and wife Denice of Lincoln, and Matthew and wife Renee of Wilber; two daughters, Marcia Burda and husband Dale of Western, and Mary Bailey and husband Dave of Wilber; 31 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Schwisow of Topeka, Kansas; aunt, Eleanor Schwan of DeWitt; sisters-in-law, Joan Schwisow of Beaverton, Oregon, Carolyn Haake and husband Leslie of Lincoln, Elaine Waltke of Beatrice, Evelyn Roesler of Nampa, Idaho, Bernice Condor of Filer, Idaho, Donna Crannell of Diller; and brother-in-law, George Roesler of Lincoln.

Janile is predeceased by husband, Vernon; granddaughter, Jeana Burda; great-grandson, Hunter Roesler; sister, Delores Bartels and husband Bernard; brothers, Virgil Schwisow, Roland Schwisow, Elroy Schwisow, and Leslie Schwisow; brothers-in-law, Willard Roesler and wife Felice, Arnold Roesler and wife Jean, Roland Roesler and wife Marlene, Kenneth Roesler and wife Arlene, Lawrence Roesler and wife Evelyn, Paul Roesler, Herbert Roesler, Robert Roesler, and Willard Waltke; sisters-in-law, Verneda Weishahn and husband Eldo and Jo Ann Roesler.

The funeral service was April 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Daykin. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family’s choice. Arrangements by Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home.
