Janet Rae (Hermsmeier) Perseghin, who was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Sept. 2, 2023, at the age of 84.

She was born to John and Irene Hermsmeier on Aug. 23, 1939, in Beatrice, and raised in the small town of DeWitt. She met George, her husband of 64 years, when he was stationed in Nebraska for the Air Force. They moved across country to his family home in Dundalk, Maryland. Throughout her life, she had many hobbies and interests, including sailing, RVing, sewing, reading, volunteering and raising her four children.

She is survived by her husband, George L. Perseghin; children, Valerie (Willy) Mosqueira, Steve (Kimberly) Perseghin, Teri (Kevin) Arber, Debra (Paul) Hoffen; grandchildren, Ursula (Tommy) Kidd, Bruno (Diana) Mosqueira, Michael Mosqueira, Tony Mosqueira, Augustus Perseghin, Kevin (Holly) Arber, Katie (Max) Fishel, John Arber, Emily Hoffen, and Maria Hoffen; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Williams, Monica Mosqueira, Eleanor and Kevin Arber, Luke, Emmett, Tucker and Zoey Fishel; and sister, Susan James.

The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 at Our Lady of the Angels in Lakewood Ranch, Florida with a committal service Friday, Sept. 8, at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida Condolences may be shared at www.palmsrobartsfuneralhome.com.
