VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 September 1, 2026 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 1st day of September 2026. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce. Trustee Schafer was absent. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:45pm. Public comments: None. Craig Vhynalek was in attendance reviewing our current insurance policies. Water Operator Report: None. A motion was made by Santacroce, seconded by Wolfe to approve the 2026-2027 Budget as proposed. Motion carried with Dick, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce voting aye. No nay votes. Resolution #2026-8 setting the property tax request was read. A motion was made by Dick, seconded by Santacroce to adopt the resolution as presented. Motion carried with Dick, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce voting aye. No nay votes. The One & Six Year Road Plan was presented for normal maintenance only. A motion was made by Baxa, seconded by Dick to adopt the Plan as presented. Motion carried with Dick, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce voting aye. No nay votes. A motion was made by Santacroce, seconded by Dick to increase the total restricted funds authority by an additional 1%. Motion carried with Dick, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce voting aye. No nay votes. A motion was made by Wolfe, seconded by Baxa to request an Audit Waiver for the fiscal year ending September 2026. Motion carried with Dick, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce voting aye. No nay votes. Previous minutes were reviewed. Santacroce motioned to approve; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Baxa motioned to approve all claims; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Santacroce, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Disconnect Notices: None Dick motioned to approve the renewal of the Double B Liquor License; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Santacroce, and Wolfe. Nuisance properties: 108 Oak St. property has been abated and demolished. Abatement continues on 106 Oak St. property. Dick motioned to adjourn, Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, Baxa, and Wolfe, no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.
