VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 October 3, 2023 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 3rd day of October, 2023. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Kastanek, Krupicka, and Smith. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Chairman Dick called the meeting to order at 7:28pm. Previous minutes were reviewed. Kastanek motioned to approve, Krupicka seconded. motion carried, aye votes Smith and Dick; no nay votes. Bank Statements, and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve Smith seconded, motion carried, aye votes Kastanek and Krupicka; no nay votes. Dick motioned to approve claims 1-16, Smith seconded, motion carried, aye votes Kastanek and Krupicka. Smith abstained on 4; Krupicka abstained on 7,8, and 16; Kastanek abstained on 14. During Public comments Lana Santacroce discussed the purchase of the Library. Board will determine purchase price and new location for contents to be presented at next meeting. Craig Vyhnalek from Vyhnalek Insurance discussed procedure for filing claims due to recent storm damage. He also indicated there may be increase in cost at next renewal. Tokyo Marine will be name of new insurance company. Krupicka and Smith to check on assistance for trash removal on Nuisance Properties.
