VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 NOVEMBER 5, 2024 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 5th day of November, 2024. Present were Trustees Krupicka, Kastanek, Wolfe and Smith. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Kastanek called the meeting to order at 7:27pm. Public comments: Craig Vyhnalek with Vyhnalek Insurance was present to inform and discuss rising insurance rates/higher deductibles. Previous minutes were reviewed. Kastanek motioned to approve; Krupicka seconded, motion carried; aye votes Krupicka, Kastanek, Wolfe, and Smith; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Kastanek motioned to approve all claims, Smith seconded, motion carried; aye votes Krupicka, Kastanek, Smith, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Dick to contact businesses for removal of vehicles. Dick to contact attorney on procedure for removal of nuisance raccoons on town property. Andrew Wilshusen from JEO Consulting Group, Inc. was appointed as our Street Superintendent for 2025. JEO Consulting Group, Inc. was appointed as the Village Engineer for 2025. Krupicka motioned to approve both appointments, Kastanek seconded, motion carried; aye votes Kastanek, Krupicka, Wolfe, and Smith; no nay votes. Kastanek motioned to adjourn, Smith seconded, motion carried; aye votes Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 8:03pm.
