VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 NOVEMBER 4, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 4th day of November 2025. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Baxa, Santacroce. Schafer, and Wolfe. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:31pm. Public comments: Lyle Bartels requested the use of the old building next to the water tower to temporarily store the rafters in for the new roof on the Legion Hall. The Board agreed. Jeremy VanWeston was present in response to the Water Operator Ad. Water Operator Report: Job advertisements for Water Operator were placed in several local newspapers. Previous minutes were reviewed. Wolfe motioned to approve; Schafer seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Santacroce, Schafer, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Baxa motioned to approve all claims; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, Baxa, Schafer, and Wolfe. No nay votes. Year-End Certification of City Street Superintendent was approved and signed. Wolfe motioned to approve; Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Santacroce, Schafter, and Wolfe; no nay votes Disconnect Notices: One notice was sent out; now paid. Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Sheriff will deliver Resolution on Nuisance Property to owner. Repairs are to be made to the Park equipment and restrooms. Wolfe to proceed with window/doors being replaced in restrooms and old playground equipment to be removed due to safety hazards. Dick motioned to approve having Clerk lock in new CD rates; Schafter seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Santacroce, Schafer, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Santacroce motioned to adjourn, Schafer seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, Baxa, Schafer, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 8:43pm.
