VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 MAY 6, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 6th day of May, 2025. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Schafer, Baxa, and Santacroce. Trustee Wolfe was absent. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:34pm. Public comments: Charlotte Rachow asked if Tobias would have a Town Cleanup Day with rolloffs. Chairman Dick to check on when that would be held. Riley Kleine requested White Rock to be placed on south Pine Street. Chairman Dick to check into ordering the rock. Doug Francis requested approval to plant Hay Oats in his alfalfa fields in town next March, then plant new alfalfa in August. Chairman Dick to check Tobias Ordinance Book for allowance. Chris Aude reported the Gym Ladies Toilet is leaking and needs to be fixed by June 7th. Wolfe will be contacted for possible repairs. Water Operator Report: Krupicka reported boards need to be put back on the water tower legs – Ricky Nunez has been approached to do this. Krupicka then reported that he will be retiring next spring. Possible replacement would be Randy Hellbusch from NE Rural Water Assn. Previous minutes were reviewed. Baxa motioned to approve; Schafter seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Schafer, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve all claims, Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, Baxa, and Schafer; no nay votes. Santacroce motioned to approve the Lane Mile Report; Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Schafer, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Schafter motioned to approve the One and Six Year Plan; Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Schafter, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Baxa motioned to approve MFO Agreement; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Schafer and Santacroce; no nay votes. Santacroce will order new Boulevard flags. Disconnect Notices: None Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Baxa had been contacted for an estimate on the cleaning up of a nuisance property. Bid for tearing down house has been accepted. Baxa will check on how many signs are needed to be replaced in town.
