VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 March 7, 2023 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 7th day of March, 2023. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees: Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith and Wolfe. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter show were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Sue Burgess expressed her interest in the clerk position. Gary gave her an explanation of duties. A decision will be made the end of March. Nebraska Department of Health’s Randy Hellbusch and Rural Water Association representative Eric Cox discussed qualifications and wages for persons inquiring about the water operator position. Jeremy Vanwesten showed interest in the water operator position. Topic will be added to the April agenda. Claims, February 2023 minutes and banking statement were presented and reviewed. Smith motioned to pay all claims, Kastanek seconded motion. Motion carried with Dick, Kastanek, Smith, Wolfe voting aye, Krupicka abstained. No nay votes. Kastanek motioned to approve the February minutes, Smith seconded motion, motion carried with Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith and Wolfe voting aye, no nay votes. Krupicka discussed Tobias making it mandatory for all residents to pay for garbage pick up and possibly have the village pay and have residents have a fee added to the water/sewer bills. Kastanek mentioned that this had been attempted in the past without success. Since there was no further business, Dick motioned to adjourn, Krupicka seconded the motion, Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith and Wolfe voted aye, no nays. Meeting adjourned at 9:00pm.
