BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 MARCH 4, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 4th day of March, 2025. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Wolfe, Baxa, Santacroce, and Schafer. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:34pm. Public comments: None Water Operator Report: None Previous minutes were reviewed. Santacroce motioned to approve; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve all claims, Schafer seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Schafer, Santacroce, Baxa, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Disconnect Notices: None Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Village Attorney to contact property owner concerning the burning of a nuisance property. Wolfe motioned to not use a Nuisance Abatement Company at this time; Schafer seconded motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes. Baxa motioned to hire B & E Asphalt to repair/resurface Tobias Main Street; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes. Dick motioned to hire Travis Smith for the 2025 mowing season; Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes. Baxa motioned to approve the renewal of the American Legion Liquor License; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes. Wolfe motioned to move the April Board Meeting to April 8, 2025 due to the Clerk being out of town; Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Baxa, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes.
