VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 JUNE 3, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 3rd day of June, 2025. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Schafer, Wolfe, and Santacroce. Trustee Baxa was absent. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. Public comments: None Water Operator Report: Ricky Nunez will not be replacing boards on water tower legs, as mentioned in May 6, 2025 minutes. Change motioned to approve by Dick; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick Schafer, Santacroce, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Previous minutes were reviewed. Schafer motioned to approve; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Schafer, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve all claims; Santacroce seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, Wolfe, and Schafer; no nay votes. Disconnect Notices: Two notices were sent out; both now paid. Santacroce motioned to approve a Building Permit for Ralph Baxa; Schafer seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Schafer, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Bid for tearing down house has been accepted. Dick will check on cost of signs that are needing to be replaced in town. Dick motioned to approve a resident’s request to plant Oat Hay in town in his alfalfa lots; Schafer seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Schafer, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Dick to contact resident with approval. Dick motioned to adjourn, Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Santacroce, and Schafer; no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 8:59pm.
