VILLAGE OF TOBIAS P.O. BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 JULY 1, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 1st day of July, 2025. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Schafer, Wolfe, Baxa, and Santacroce. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. Public comments: None Water Operator Report: Randy Hellbusch from NE Rural Water and his wife attended the meeting to advise the Board on the requirements/suggestions on hiring a new Water Operator. Job advertisements will be placed in several local newspapers. Krupicka replaced the faucet in the park men’s restroom, repaired a faulty water line, and replaced the boards on the legs of the water tower. Previous minutes were reviewed. Dick motioned to approve; Wolfe seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Schafer, Baxa, and Santacroce; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve all claims; Schafer seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Santacroce, Wolfe, Baxa, and Schafer; no nay votes. Disconnect Notices: Two notices were sent out; both now paid. Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Bid for tearing down a nuisance property house has been accepted and work will begin soon. Ben Murray to draft and file new ordinance concerning actions to be taken on nuisance properties. Baxa purchased several signs in town with additional ones to be ordered. Dick motioned to adjourn, Baxa seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Wolfe, Santacroce, Baxa, and Schafer; no nay votes.
