BOX 94 TOBIAS, NEBRASKA 68453 December 3, 2024 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 3rd day of December, 2024. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees Krupicka, Kastanek, Wolfe and Smith. The Village Clerk was also present. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Dick called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. Public comments: Previous minutes were reviewed. Kastanek motioned to approve; Krupicka seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Krupicka, Kastanek, Wolfe, and Smith; no nay votes. Bank statements and Treasurer’s Report were presented. Dick motioned to approve all claims except 13, 14, 17, 20, and 21, Kastanek seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Kastanek, and Wolfe; Smith and Krupicka abstained, no nay votes. Smith motioned to approve claims 13 and 14, Kupricka seconded, motion carried; aye votes Krupicka, Smith, and Wolfe; Dick and Kastanek abstained, no nay votes. Smith motioned to approve claims 17, 20, and 21, Kastanek seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Krupicka, Kastanek, and Smith, Wolfe abstained, no nay votes. Action on Nuisance Properties continues as Village proceeds with abatement. Dick to contact Fire Department on building burn procedure for removal of nuisance raccoons on town property. Smith motioned to approve the renewal of Double B Bar & Grill Tobacco License , Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Krupicka, Kastanek, Smith, and Wolfe; no nay votes. MFO 2024-2025 Award Letter was granted. Funds to begin January 2025. Kastanek motioned to approve the appointment of Matt Baxa and Sam Santacroce as new Trustees to replace retiring Trustees, Dick seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Krupicka, Kastanek, Smith, and Wolfe; no nay votes. Oath of Office was taken by Baxa and Santacroce. Wolfe motioned to accept the resignation of Trustee Travis Smith, Krupicka seconded, motion carried; aye votes Dick, Krupicka, Kastanek, and Wolfe; no nay votes. A Notice of Vacancy will be posted. A Special Meeting will be held December 17, 2024 to appoint a new Trustee to fill the remaining term.
