VILLAGE OF TOBIAS PO BOX 94 TOBIAS, NE 68453 APRIL 4, 2023 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Tobias, Nebraska was held at the Tobias Fire Hall in said Village on the 4th day of April, 2023. Present were Chairman Dick, Trustees: Krupicka and Kastanek, Smith and Dillon Wolfe. The Village Clerk also attending meeting. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter show were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Jeremy Van Weston discussed his wage requirements if hired for the Water Operator/Sewer position. Board members and Jeremy discussed what the job entailed. Jeremy left the meeting at 7:45. Alan Krupicka motioned to hold a closed session, Kastanek seconded the motion, Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith and Wolfe voted aye, no nay votes. Closed session began at 7:50 PM. At 8:33 PM, Smith motioned to end the closed session, Kastanek seconded the motion, Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith and Wolfe voting aye, no nays. Regular meeting reconvened at 8:33 PM. Discussion was held on garbage service. A previous bill from Garbage Company South was presented. A discussion was held on one applicant, Susan Burgess. Two other applicants have shown interest. Both will be contacted with interview details. A special meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18th to speak with the 2 new applicants. Lane Mile Report was reviewed by Gary Dick. No changes to the streets and no annexations. Clerk will relay information on to NDOT. Board discussed supporting the Saline County Transit. A letter will be prepared and sent to Scott Bartels. The claims, bank statement, treasurer’s report and the March 2023 minutes were presented. Smith motioned to pay the claims, Wolfe seconded the motion, motion carried with Dick, Smith and Wolfe voting aye, no nay votes. Kastanek and Krupicka abstained. Current CD rates were discussed. Dick motioned to adjourn the meeting, Krupicka seconded the motion, motion carried with Dick, Kastanek, Krupicka, Smith and Wolfe voting aye, no nay votes. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 PM.
