Village of Swanton PO Box 23 Swanton, Nebraska 68445 OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS September 12, 2016 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 12th day of September, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Chairman Runty, Trustees: Strouf, Kujath, Placek, and Bass. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator and Donna Rut, Village Clerk also attending the meeting. Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. Bill Behmerwohld with Reinboth Plumbing discussed his plumbing services with the board. The claims, minutes, and treasurer's report were presented. A motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Kujath to approve the minutes and treasurer's report and to pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with all members voting aye. Trustee Strouf reported on the water project and the quote from Sargent Drilling for a VFD for the east well. After reviewing the insurance on village properties, a motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Placek to increase coverages on the lift station, wells, auditorium, and fire hall. Motion carried with all members voting aye. Discussion on property nuisances, barking dogs, dogs running at large, firehall west wall, and parking on North Main Street was held. The Village will share the cost of the repair on the west wall of the fire hall with the Fire Department. A motion was made by Bass and seconded by Strouf to have the attorney send a letter to Mitch & Alisa Pesek about their dogs. Motion carried with all members voting aye. A motion was made by Bass and seconded by Strouf to request an audit waiver for the 2015-2016 fiscal year. Motion carried with Strouf, Kujath, Placek, Bass, and Runty voting aye. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator gave his water report. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Kujath to adjourn. Motion carried with all members voting aye.
