Village of Swanton PO Box 23 Swanton, Nebraska 68445 June 8, 2026 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 8th day of June, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. Present were: Chairman Runty, Trustees: Likens and Placek. Strouf and Bass absent. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator and Donna Rut, Village Clerk also attending the meeting. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. The claims, treasurer’s report, and minutes were presented. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Likens to approve the treasurer’s report and minutes and pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with Runty, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Strouf and Bass absent. Discussion was held on the Kinetic proposal was presented. A motion was made by Likens and seconded by Placek to approve the proposal. Motion carried with Runty, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Strouf and Bass absent. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Likens to approve Pay App #5 to Judd Brothers for $51,917.50 on the water project pending USDA-RD approval. Motion carried with Runty, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Strouf and Bass absent. A motion was made by Likens and seconded by Placek to approve the interest payment for $4,659.73 to First TriCounty Bank on the bank loan for the new well. Motion carried with Runty, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Strouf and Bass absent. Discussion was held on the 2026-27 budget. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Likens to approve the contract with Cummins Sales and Service for the maintenance on the generator. Motion carried with Runty, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Strouf and Bass absent. Alan Krupicka, water operator gave his monthly report.
