VILLAGE OF SWANTON P.O. BOX 23 SWANTON, NEBRASKA. 68445 JUNE 12, 2023 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 12th day of June, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Runty called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Runty, Strouf and Placek. Bass and Likens absent. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator and Donna Rut, Village Clerk also attending. Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. The Saline County Deputy gave the monthly sheriff’s report. The claims, treasurer’s report, and minutes were presented. A motion was made by Likens and seconded by Bass to approve the treasurer’s report and minutes and to pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass and Likens absent. A resolution authorizing the Chairperson and the Clerk of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska to execute documents required to receive United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development financial assistance was read. A motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Placek to approve the resolution. Motion carried with Strouf, Placek, and Runty voting aye. Bass and Likens absent. Discussion on the new well project and street repairs was held. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Strouf to approve Manning and Associates to prepare the 2023-2024 budget. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass and Likens absent. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Strouf to book 1,000 gallons of propane for $1.63 per gallon for a total of $1,630.00 payable to the Farmers Cooperative. Motion carried with Strouf, Placek, and Runty voting aye. Bass and Likens absent. Alan Krupicka gave his monthly water report. Trustee Strouf reported on the new fire truck,budget, and the hydrant in the park. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Strouf and seconded by Likens to adjourn.
