VILLAGE OF SWANTON PO BOX 23 SWANTON, NEBRASKA 68445 AUGUST 11, 2025 The regular meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Swanton, Nebraska was held at the Fire Hall in Swanton, Nebraska on the 11th day of August, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. Present were: Chairman Runty, Trustees: Strouf, Likens, and Placek. Bass, absent. Donna Rut, Village Clerk and Alan Krupicka, Water Operator also attending the meeting. Notice of meeting was given in advance thereof by posting as required by law. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. The Open Meeting Laws are posted in the meeting room. The claims, treasurer’s report, and minutes were presented. A motion was made by Placek and seconded by Strouf to approve the treasurer’s report and minutes and pay all claims as presented. Motion carried with Runty, Strouf, Likens, and Placek voting aye. Bass, absent. The Saline County Sheriff gave the monthly report. Discussion on the water project was held. A preconstruction meeting will be held on August 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the firehall. Discussion was held on large water meters and water rates. Discussion on nuisance properties was held. A motion was made by Likens and seconded by Placek to have the attorney will send letters to two property owners on the conditions of their properties. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass absent. Alan Krupicka, Water Operator gave his monthly water report. As there was no further business, a motion was made by Likens and seconded by Strouf to adjourn. Motion carried with all members present voting aye. Bass, absent.
