RAFA Roofing celebrates new location

Spring sports are scheduled to today, March 20 for a majority of the Saline County High Schools. Here is an overview of what the schedule will look like if competitions aren’t canceled:

Thursday, March 20
Dorchester track at Doane (indoor) at 10 a.m.

Crete girls soccer at 4 p.m.
Crete-Milford baseball at 6:30 p.m.
Crete boys soccer at Doane at 7 p.m.

Friday, March 21
Wilber-Clatonia, Exeter-Milligan/Friend and Tri County track at Doane (indoor) at 10 a.m.

Saturday, March 22
Crete track at Doane (indoor) at 10 a.m.
Crete-Milford baseball host tournament at noon

Wilber Czech Kickoff: FREE event, dancer call

The Wilber Jr Czech Dancers are invited to take part in the Wilber Czech Kick-Off Dance on Friday, March 21st. Please assemble at the Wilber Sokol Hall at 6:45 pm in full Czech costume to rehearse and perform at 7:15 p.m., to kick off the 64th annual Wilber Czech Festival. Music will be performed by the Czechland Trio and Alumni Band. Performances by the Junior and Senior Czech Dancers. Crowning of the new Czech Queen, Princess and Princess. Supper items will include pork with kraut and dumplings, as well as grill food and kolaches for dessert. TJ Sokol Hall, 315 South Wilson St., Wilbe. Doors open to the public at 7:00 p.m.

MWA Professional Wrestling TONIGHT in Milligan

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Milligan Auditorium for MWA Professional Wrestling. The bell rings at 7:30 p.m. A second showing will be tomorrow, Friday March 21 at Tabor Hall in Dorchester.

Beaver Crossing Fish Fry March 21

Annual Fish Fry: Free will donation fish fry to benefit the Village Community Sign Fund will be Friday, March 21. Food service begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m., or until the fish run out. Bar opens at 5 p.m. Beaver Crossing Holmes Post #178, located in the Village Park.

Saline Shuffle this Saturday in Wilber

7th Annual Saline Shuffle 5K/Fun Run to support our Saline County seniors. Event starts at 10:00 a.m. in Wilber.

Saturday Cornhole Tournament

DEWITT CORHOLE TOURNAMENT: The American Legion Post 212 Cornhole Tournament will be at the DeWitt Community Center March 22 at 1 p.m. Registration begins at 12 p.m. and costs $40 per two person team.

Rib-eye steak feed in Dorchester

DORCHESTER STEAK AND HAMBURGER FEED: The Dorchester Community Foundation Steak and Hamburger feed is Saturday, March 22 at the Legion and Community Building. Serving begins at 5 p.m. Carry-out service is available by calling in advance to Linda (402) 641-0564 or Peg (402) 525-5705. Meal includes a rib-eye steak, side salad, potato choice, Texas toast and drink. Hamburgers available also.
