This is a synopsis of the Saline County Board of Commissioners’ September 5, 2023, regular meeting proceedings. A complete set of the proceedings is on file in the Board of Commissioners’ Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and on our website: www.co.saline.ne.us SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, by Chairperson Phil Hardenburger. Present were Hardenburger, Janet J. Henning, Stephanie A. Krivohlavek, Marvin A. Kohout and Russ Karpisek, Commissioners, County Attorney David Solheim and County Clerk Diann Nettifee. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s Office and published in all three county newspapers on August 30, 2023, in compliance with State Statutes; Hardenburger advised those present of the open meetings act at the back of the room and that all proceedings are electronically recorded; Approved the agenda; Approved the minutes of the August 22, 2023 regular meeting; Under Citizens Forum, Jeff Koll addressed the Board; Under Correspondence, TC Energy – Keystone Pipeline, cleaning right of way from September to December. NE Natural Resources, Shestak Reservoir reports; Under Report of Officials, heard reports from Commissioners regarding attending meetings with NACO; Approved Renewal of the Subaward between Saline County and the City of Lincoln; Approved the surplus property from Assessor’s inventory; Approved Resolution #2023-48 Approved Resolution #2023-49 Approved Resolution #2023-50 At 9:45 a.m. John McKee reported on Emergency Management; Approved Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Sharing of Mass Notification System for Fillmore, Jefferson, Nuckolls, Saline and Thayer Counties; At 9:55 a.m. Board recessed; At 10:06 a.m. Board reconvened 10:06 a.m. Opened Public Hearing Speakers were: Gregory Kratz, Gary Veprovsky, Dennis Pallas, Kay Kottas, Aron Ourecky, Chuck McKay; 11:19 a.m. Closed Public Hearing Approved Table Resolution 2023-51 for the time being; 11:20 a.m. Entered Closed Session to discuss General Assistance; 12:10 p.m. Exited Closed Session no action taken; Approved General Assistance for GA 2023-03 Approved Claims as presented with the addition of GA 2023-03; There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 12:17 p.m. The next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Saline County Commissioners’ Room, Court House, Wilber, NE.
