This is a synopsis of the Saline County Board of Commissioners’ June 8, 2021, regular meeting proceedings. A complete set of the proceedings is on file in the Board of Commissioners’ Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and on our website: www.co.saline.ne.us SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Commissioners was called to order at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, by Chairperson Russ Karpisek. Present were Karpisek, Marvin A. Kohout, Janet J. Henning, Philip Hardenburger and Stephanie A. Krivohlavek, County Clerk Anita K. Bartels. County Attorney Tad Eickman was present between court commitments. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s Office, on the Saline County Website, and published in all three county newspapers on June 2, 2021, in compliance with State Statutes; Let the record show that all proceedings are electronically recorded; Approved the Agenda as presented; Approved the minutes of the May 25, 2021, regular meeting; Under Citizens Forum, no one addressed the Board; Under Correspondence, received the City of Crete June 1st meeting agendas for the City Council, Public Safety, Public Works, Finance and Economic Development committees; from Fillmore County Zoning their Notice to Adjoining Counties and Villages of Fillmore County to hold two public hearings on June 21 and 22 for the purpose of amending Zoning Regulations and Irrigation Pivot Points and Stops; from NIRMA the 2021-2022 Billing Statement indicating a $3,957 or 1.56% decrease; from the Little Blue NRD and Lower Big Blue NRD the Hazard Mitigation Plan; and from Employers Mutual Casualty Company a Status Inquiry for Mid-Continental Restoration; Under Report of Officials, heard reports of meetings with CASA, Region V, NACO, Seward/Saline County Solid Waste, and Saline County Area Transit, NACO Conference in Kearney. Also, the cemeteries in District 3 were mowed. At 10:05 a.m. Brad Swiggert with Northwestern Mutual addressed the Board giving an explanation of how their process works to submit a proposal for insurance; Approved the Clerk’s declaration of surplus property; At 10:26 a.m. the Board recessed; At 10:44 a.m. the Board reconvened; Approved the Blobuam & Busboom PC’s acceptance and understanding for the June 2022 budget; Approved the May 2021 Sheriff Fees, $2,590.89; Approved the May 2021 Clerk of the District Court Fees, $34,333.78; Approved the May 2021 Clerk Fees, $21,985.50; Approved to request catastrophic leave donations; Approved moving the locking storage cabinet from the HR/IT inventory to the Clerk’s inventory; Approved Resolution #2021-040 transferring $44.54 from the General Fund to the Grant Fund, correcting a payroll posting; Approved Resolution #2021-041 transferring $4,800 from the General Fund to the Grant Fund, to be reimbursed when funds become available;
