Terry Quackenbush, 72, of Hallam, passed away Jan. 7, 2022. He was born Sept. 10, 1949, to Paul and Betty Quackenbush.

Terry joined the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly fought for his country in the Vietnam War. Terry’s motto about meeting new people was “a friend I haven’t met yet.” He was a people person and a fine handyman. His charm didn’t go unnoticed. Terry was active in many social groups over the years, including the dance chairman for the Hickman Legion #105 and Parents without Partners in Grand Island. In his later life and with the decline of his health, Terry found his joy on his farm with his dog “Woody” and visits from family, friends and loved ones.

Terry is survived by father, Paul; siblings, Larry, Mary, Kerry, and Sherry; children, Tracey and Laura; grandchildren, Marissa, Jordan, Jake, Harper, Jackson and Brantley. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty, and brother, Jerry.

A visitation will be Friday, Jan. 21, at Kuncl Funeral Home in Wilber from 5 to 7 p.m. The memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation has occurred and there will be no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hickman Legion #105.
