RESOLUTION 13-12-03 Motion by Mahloch second by Wattjes to approve the following Resolution: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TREASURER OF THE VILLAGE OF DEWITT, SALINE COUNTY, NEBRASKA TO PURCHASE CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSITS AND MAKE TIME DEPOSITS IN SUCH STATE OR NATIONAL BANKS IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA AS ARE APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, VILLAGE OF DEWITT, NEBRASKA. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF DEWITT, SALINE COUNTY, NEBRASKA. SECTION 1. The Treasurer of the Village of DeWitt is hereby authorized to purchase Certificates of Deposit and make Time Deposits in such State or National Banks in the State of Nebraska. First State Bank Nebraska is hereby designated as an approved depository bank. SECTION 2. Deposits made by the Village Treasurer, as custodian of Village funds, in such depository bank shall not exceed the amount of Certificates of Deposit and Time Deposits which are 1.) Insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for custodians of Village funds or 2.) Are secured by a Bond or Pledge of Securities from such Bank in favor of the Village as provided by law. SECTION 3. The Village Treasurer is authorized to invest Village Funds as provided in Section 1 and Section 2 above, whenever the Treasurer determines that she/he holds funds in excess of the amount required for the immediate maintenance, operation and debt retirement needs of the Village, and such investments may be cashed or transferred by the Treasurer into a Demand Account when the maintenance, operation and /or debt retirement needs of the Village so require. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the Village of DeWitt, Saline County, Nebraska that the Treasurer of said Village is authorized to invest the funds of the Village as herein above provided.
