PROCEEDINGS REGULAR MEETING BOARD OF TRUSTEES June 7, 2016 The DeWitt Village Board met in regular session at 7:00 PM at the Village Office on Tuesday June 7, 2016. Trustees present were: Wattjes, Weise, Mahloch and Brown. Also present were: Utility Superintendent- Mitch McDougall, Clerk- Erin Reimer. Visitors were: Brock and Emily McDougall, Bobbie Scherling-park and pool board along with Rich Dike. Received and placed on file the notices of the meeting. It was motioned by Brown and second by Wiese that Wiese is appointed protempe. Motions approved by unanimous roll call vote: 1. Consent Agenda 2. Take action in regards with fowl within the village. 3. Approval of purchasing park timbers to replace broken boundaries at Rossitter Park. 4. Approval to close street at Fillmore and Hickory the weekend of June 17-19, due to softball tournament. 5. Approval to move forward and apply for NRD 50/50 program in regards of the North Drainage Ditch. 6. Approval of depositing water CD. Additional business for the meeting: Saline County Sheriff’s office gave their monthly report. Mitch reported that things are going well at the pool. He is still having issues with the pump. He reported on the electric outage due to the previous storm saying that residents were without power approx. midnight to 2pm. Norris was quick to assist in replacing poles and getting us going again. Shawn reported that the Fire Dept. was looking into refurbishing their pumper truck and they will be getting the one truck repaired with the Forestry Department. He also talked about the Mainstreet Meeting he attended in Dorchester. Erin reported that she will be ordering the portapotties for the 4th Celebrations this week from Abbot Portables. She discussed the trial balance numbers. She also reported that she would like to have more set rates for the community center and to include a clean-up fee with the current key deposit. She will be leaving on Wednesday to go the finance conference in Kearney and will return Monday. The 4th Celebrations were also discussed along with nuisance properties. With no further business, the meeting closed at 9:20 PM.
