PROCEEDINGS OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WILBER, NEBRASKA Monday, August 24, 2026, 7:00 p.m. The Mayor called the special workshop meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center, 110 W Third Street, Wilber, Nebraska. Notice of the meeting was posted in three locations within the City on August 12, 2026, and published in the Wilber Republican on August 19, 2026. Present were Mayor Roger Chrans; Councilmembers Randy Sasek, Kent Linhart, and Allen Brozovsky; City Attorney Tad Eickman; City Clerk Lori Rezny; City Superintendent Tim Krivohlavek; Planning Commission members Randy Kozeal and Brian May; Steve and Allison Barnas; Dennis Tenopir; Randy Fulton; and Miller & Associates representatives Jason Combs and Aubrie Lawrence. City Councilmember Tim Lempka and Planning Commission members Trevor Watson and Doug Ripa were absent. The Mayor stated that a copy of the open meetings act is in the meeting room and available for public inspection. Roll call shows three Councilmembers are present. The Mayor called for recognition of visitors if anyone in attendance wishes to address the Council. No one spoke at this time. The workshop meeting was led by Miller & Associates representatives Jason Combs and Aubrie Lawrence who gave a slide presentation regarding the Comprehensive Plan & Zoning Regulations Kick-Off meeting. The presentation included information on the purpose and process of updating the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulations. A public survey will be conducted in the near future and Miller & Associates will compile the data from the survey for presentation at an upcoming public meeting. Further discussion was held with those present after which the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. Future public meetings will be scheduled regarding the process to update the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulations.
