OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS This is a synopsis of the Saline County Board of Equalization’s June 3, 2014, regular meeting proceedings. A complete set of the proceedings is on file in the Board of Equalization Journal, is of public record in the Saline County Clerk’s office and at our website: www.co.saline.ne.us. SALINE COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION The regular meeting of the Saline County Board of Equalization opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was called to order at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, by Chairperson, Janet J. Henning. Present were Henning, Richard D. Jiskra, Willis D. Luedke and Tim McDermott, Commissioners, and County Clerk, Linda Kastanek. Commissioner Marvin A. Kohout was absent. Notice of said meeting was posted in the County Clerk’s office, on the Saline County Website, and published in all county newspapers prior to the meeting, in compliance with State Statutes. Let the record show that all proceedings are electronically recorded. Henning advised those present of the open meetings law posted at the back of the room. The Board: Approved the agenda as presented; Approved the minutes of the May 20, 2014 meeting as presented, Approved Tax List Correction #2014-14, adding taxes to the tax roll for property denied for Homestead Exemption by the Department of Revenue because of being over income guidelines; Approved a listing of valuation changes since January 1st; Discussed and approved the “Basis for Change/or No Change” reasons for the Board to use during Protest Hearings; There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 9:27 a.m. The next meeting will be on June 17, 2014, at 9:15 a.m. in the Saline County Commissioners' Room, Court House, Wilber NE.
