NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING I. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by Saline County Area Transit at 107 S. West Ave, Western, NE at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 for the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Federal Transit Administration, pursuant to the Federal Transit Act (FTA), generally described as follows: 1. To consider restructuring bus fares. 2. The project serves the towns of Crete, DeWitt, Dorchester, Friend, Swanton, Tobias, Western, and Wilber providing portal to portal transportation to Lincoln, Geneva, Crete, Beatrice, and Fairbury. Saline County Area Transit will take into consideration the special needs of the elderly and/or persons with disabilities. Saline County Area Transit provides transportation service to the general public, age/income levels notwithstanding. II. At the hearing Saline County Area Transit will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the project. Interested persons may submit, orally or in writing, evidence and recommendations with respect to said project.
