Norma Kathryn Ripa, 90, of Wilber, passed away April 9, 2021, at the Wilber Care Center in Wilber. Norma was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Milford, to Frank and Sophia (Brchan) Strouf. She graduated from Crete High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to Joseph J. Ripa on Jan. 12, 1952.

She served as Deputy County Clerk and Saline County Clerk for 29 years before her retirement in 1996. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Wilber Garden Club. More than anything, Norma enjoyed spending time with – and cooking for – her family, gardening and spending time outdoors.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Ripa; parents, Frank and Sophia Strouf; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Don Busboom; brother- in-law, Ken Walker; niece, Jan Hajek; brother-in-law, Lumir Ripa; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Grace and Frank Kozak.

Survivors include her sons, Douglas (Debra) of Wilber, Dennis (Joni) of Greenwood, Indiana, Dale (Angie) of Lincoln and Dean of Wilber; grandchildren include Travis Ripa, Cory Nickel, Keri Brosamle, Kelsi Tonniges, Sarah Ripa, Lauren Briese, Madeline Vogel and Anna Johnson; great-grandchildren include Jackson, Leah, Brett, Clay, Caiden, Scarlett, Charlie, Henry, Finn and Shay; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Walker of Bloomington, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Louise Ripa of Lincoln; nieces and nephews.

A private graveside family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lincolnfh.com.
