Nancy was born in Lincoln to Mirl and Mary Rupe on Aug. 17, 1950. She graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1968. Nancy was dedicated to the Dvoracek Memorial Library for more than 30 years, where she began cleaning and eventually became co-director prior to retirement. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother. Nancy and Les loved spending their weekends at polka dances or country line dancing with friends. Nancy’s favorite pastime was reading any and every book. She also enjoyed going to movies, playing card games, baking anything chocolate and spending time with her family. She was known for walking everywhere in town and never taking anyone up on a ride, no matter how many times she was asked.
