MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING AND DEWITT VILLAGE BOARD REGULAR MEETING held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Village Office, 209 E. Fillmore Ave, DeWitt, NE. Roll Call: Present: Trustees Fink, Rahe, Rentschler, Weise and Workman Absent: None Also present: Utility Maintenance – Zach Schuerman, Clerk – Moria Holly, Bobbie Scherling and Saline County Deputy Chairman Fink announced that a copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room and is accessible to members of the public. Motion and second to open the 1 & 6 Year Street Improvement Plan Public Hearing Public Hearing Opened at 7:00 PM The Village Clerk explained the 1 & 6 Year Plan submitted by Olsson & Associates. There were no major changes to the Village’s plan from the previous year. Regular Board Meeting Opened at 7:03 PM Received and placed on file the notices of the meeting. Motions approved by unanimous/quorum roll call vote: 1. Consent Agenda; motion and second to approve the Consent Agenda. 2. 2026 1 & 6 Year Street Improvement Plan; motion and second to approve and adopt the 1 & 6 Year Street Improvement Plan. 3. Resolution 2025-06 – Public Hearing Notice; motion and second to approve and sign Resolution 2025-06. 4. Resolution 2025-07 – NDOT Year End Resolution; motion and second to approve and sign Resolution 2025-07. 5. NDOT Year End Certification; motion and second to approve and sign the Certification. 6. Village Checking Account – Sales Tax; motion and second to approve setting up a new checking account. 7. Community Center – Volleyball Net; motion and second to approve financial support for a new/used volleyball net system. 8. Park – Ballfield Playground Equipment Estimates; motion and second to approve the estimate for the new slide. 9. Water Department – Valve Exerciser Quote; motion and second to approve the quote for the valve exerciser. 10. Community Center – Stove Estimates; motion and second to approve the estimate for two new stoves. 11. Jason Pieper – Sewer Repair Claim; motion and second to approve the sewer repair claim. 12. JEO – Review/Approve Wastewater Improvements Group A – Judds Brothers Pay Application #4; motion and second to approve Pay Application #4. Discussions: Saline County Deputy presented their monthly reports and states that everything seems to be going well within the Village. Utility Maintenance, Zach Schuerman, addressed the Village Board regarding that after filling the pool, a leak is still an issue and NuFlow will be coming to inspect the pool for a possible leak in the suction line; the pool is currently being drained and the equipment will be stored for the winter; and the continued issues with the water main on the east side of town. Village Clerk, Moria Holly, addressed the Village Board regarding the Village Audit, sales tax funds, keno funds, Norris lease funds, 2025 pool season report, and the issue of potholes on the east side of town along the highway.
