Minutes of the DeWitt Village Board Regular Meeting held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Village Office, 209 E. Fillmore Ave, DeWitt, NE. Roll Call: Present: Chairman Fink, Trustees Rahe, Rentschler, and Weise, Absent: Workman Also present: Utility Superintendent – Hunter Oliver, Utility Maintenance – Zachary Schuerman, Village Clerk – Moria Holly, Travis Rahe with the Civic Board, and Saline County Deputy Chairman Fink announced that a copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room and is accessible to members of the public. Received and placed on file the notices of the meeting. Motions approved by unanimous roll call vote: 1. Consent Agenda; motion and second to approve the items in the consent agenda. 2. Civic Board – Fireworks DeWitt Days; recommendation to move date to June 27, 2026. 3. Play-Pro Recreation Estimate – Ballfield Slide Replacement; motion and second to approve the estimate as submitted by Play-Pro Recreation. 4. Sealed Bids – 1981 Orange Dodge Pickup; motion and second to award bid to Hunter Oliver. 5. Keno – County/City License Renewal; Lottery Operator License Renewal; and Sales Outlet Location License Renewal 2026-2028; motion and second to sign all renewal applications for submission. 6. JEO – Judds Bros Pay Application #7 and #8; motion and second to approve and sign the pay applications. Discussions: Saline County Deputy presented their monthly call report. Bobbie Scherling with the Village Park Board discussed with the Village Board upcoming clean up dates for parks, preparations for the sand volleyball court, watering for the ballfield, and acquiring an estimate for new windows at the concessions stand. Utility Superintendent, Hunter Oliver, discussed with the Village Board regarding updates for the Wastewater Treatment Plant project and issues with getting some equipment in a timely manner, Well #5 and well controls and the inability to get Haug Communications to inspect the same, therefore, the well controls may need to updated/replaced, that due to pipeline construction the road to the compost site will be closed this spring and a temporary compost site will be constructed; as well as, a Floodplain audit in April. Village Clerk, Moria Holly, presented her Clerk Report consisting of updates regarding 2026 grant ideas, move in/out report, sales tax, keno funds collected, Norris Lease funds, and the Village Employee Appreciation party.
