Minutes of the DeWitt Village Board Regular Meeting held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Village Office, 209 E. Fillmore Ave, DeWitt, NE. Roll Call: Present: Chairman Fink, Trustees Rahe, Rentschler, Weise and Workman Absent: None Also present: Utility Superintendent – Hunter Oliver, Utility Maintenance – Zachary Schuerman, and Village Clerk – Moria Holly Chairman Fink announced that a copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the meeting room and is accessible to members of the public. Received and placed on file the notices of the meeting. Motions approved by unanimous roll call vote: 1. Consent Agenda; motion and second to approve the items in the consent agenda. 2. Municipal Supply – Water Meter Quote; motion and second to approve the quote as submitted. 3. JEO – Judds Bros Pay Application #13; postponed as information was not received by the time of the meeting. 4. Cow Pie Bingo Funds – Community Center; motion and second to proceed with two benches and rock. Discussions: Utility Superintendent, Hunter Oliver, presented his report for the Village Board consisting of water tower maintenance, VFD controls for Well 1, lead and copper testing, fire hydrant painting request after fire hydrants are tested this fall/spring, update on the Wastewater Treatment Plant project, road work on Chestnut, equipment repairs, and water sales to the pipeline. Village Clerk, Moria Holly, presented her Clerk Report consisting of the move in/out report, sales tax funds and keno funds collected, update regarding Village litigations and the upcoming election for Village Board members, and the proposed dates for the Levy, Budget and Street 1 & 6 Year Plan hearings.
