Gale Lynn Sup, 86, of Malcolm, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, surrounded by his family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, businessman, mentor, outdoorsman, and friend, Gale lived with extraordinary integrity, kindness, humor, and an unwavering belief that a way forward could always be found.
Gale is survived by his brother, Ted (Kathy) Sup; children, Lori Sup (Rob Davis), Tafe Sup Bergo, Layne (Carrie) Sup; grandchildren, Amber (Cameron) Scholl, Addie (Paul) Hubert, Nathan Hoffman, DJ Bergo, Lucio Bergo, Carter Sup, Siena Bergo, Tucker Sup, Behringer Sup; and great-grandchildren, Levi Scholl, Max Scholl, Emma Scholl, Liliana Hubert, Leah Hubert; and his beloved dog, Roscoe.
He was preceded in death by his just as remarkable wife, Bernice “Susie” Sup.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at First Plymouth Church, 2000 D St. in Lincoln, followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. and will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery, where Gale will be laid to rest beside Susie.
The service will also honor Susie’s life, as pandemic restrictions prevented a larger gathering following her death in 2020.
A Celebration of Life will follow at approximately 1:30 p.m., with location details forthcoming.
