Emil and Doris (Ebbers) Odvody of Wilber are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
They were married May 12, 1955, at Zion Evangelical Church, a rural church between Dewitt and Swanton.
Their family members include sons, Roy (Agnes) Odvody and Donald (Ruth) Odvody; daughters, Bonnie (Gary) Vergith and Jane (Kevin) Znamenacek; 14 grandchildren; and 23 greatgrandchildren.
To help Emil and Doris celebrate, an open house is planned Saturday, May 17, from 7 – 10 p.m. at Sokol Hall, Wilber. The public is invited to attend, with free dance music by Angie Kriz and the Polkatoons.
