ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PROJECT 201318-318.1 Sealed proposals for the lease of new security equipment including the installation and maintenance of the equipment will be received for the Owner (The Saline County Board of Commissioners) at the office of the Saline County Clerk, 215 S. Court Street, Wilber, Nebraska until 1:00 P.M. local time February 19th, 2015. Proposals will be publicly opened by the Building Committee and read aloud at 1:30 P.M. in the Commissioners' hearing room on the second floor. The Building Committee will make its recommendation to the Board of Commissioners on Tuesday February 24th, 2015. Time of the recommendation will be published in the Agenda for that meeting. Companies interested in submitting a proposal shall utilize the current electrical construction documents prepared by Berggren Architects which illustrate the location of proxy readers at controlled access locations, elevator intercom system, security cameras, and computer racks/cabinets throughout the project. The electrical construction documents also illustrate conduits and chases provided by the electrical contractor for the courthouse addition to be utilized by the security equipment installers. The proposal shall include all necessary hardware and software to create a fully operational system. Computer software shall be IP compatible. These construction documents are available digitally from the architect by contacting Erin Dobesh AIA, Project Architect ed@berggrenarchitects.com. Hard copies are available from the architect upon payment of fifty dollars ($50.00). Prior to submitting a proposal, interested parties must tour the site and the Saline County Jail where the security system will be monitored. Proposed systems must integrate with the existing security system at the Saline County Jail. The proposers must acknowledge that the installation of all leased equipment shall be coordinated with the General Contractor for the courthouse addition project and shall coordinate with the Saline County Sheriff for startup and the ongoing maintenance throughout the length of time the lease is in effect. All proposers are required to have visited the existing courthouse prior to submitting bids. Contact the head of grounds and maintenance, Dan Johnson, at (402) 821-7215 to set up a walk through. The Saline County Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and waive informalities and to award the work to the proposer whose proposal will be most advantageous, price and other factors considered.
